Tips:
1. Make sure to leave enough space around the edge of the painting when you take the picture to reduce/eliminate lens distortion.
2. Use a timer and a tripod to make sure the camera stays steady. This will result in a crisper image.
3. When possible, shoot in RAW so that you can edit the image easier to match the original work.
4. You can put a piece of white paper next to your painting so that you have a way to judge your colors better when editing.
5. Make sure to position lights in a way that doesn't catch the ridges of paint or canvas texture. Usually 45 degrees is best.
